I like a couple of things about your version of the character.

I noticed that there was added texture given to the oc that helps bring it more to life in comparison to the ref. Nice touch.

The posing helps give it a cute personality and wished to see a full pose similar to the given reference.

I would suggest doing full body shots as well as varying your line thickness for such things as material movement or light.
